Prompts
On the first AI-generated resume I asked ChatGPT, “using my original resume, create an accounting job application resume”. I then needed it to be in a document form so I asked it to make me a PDF document of what it came up with. It was on two pages originally so I asked to condense the document to one page. On the second AI-generated resume I asked ChatGPT, “using my original resume, make a social worker job application resume. Reframe my experiences and skills to fit the needs of the social worker job”. I then also needed this to be a document so I asked to make it a PDF document and make it all fit onto one page.
Changed
From my original to the first one, all that changed was the formatting, it added an objective to fit an accountant, and it also added emphasis onto what I studied to my education section. It also added a few skills to make me more qualified. From my original to the second one a lot more had changed. I was more specific on what to do so it even changed the experiences bullet points to fit a social worker job.
Learned
I learned that the more specific the prompt is, the better the outcome will be. It will be more precise and less random little edits in between to get to the final document/outcome.
