I was a victim of a Facebook group that was selling jeans. I really wanted a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans. They were selling them for only $110 for 2 pairs! They are originally almost $250 for just 1 pair. I should have known it was too good to be true… The lady had me set up apple pay because it was untraceable. I started to send the money and it said it was fraud detected. She convinced me by saying she is receiving a huge traffic of sales for the same amount. I said okay and sent the money anyway. I then got a text the next day saying there is a $70 delivery insurance fee which I will be reimbursed for. I said okay and sent the money. She used a different apple pay phone number to receive that payment. Once I sent it she blocked me. She then answered 4 hours later and said that they changed their insurance policy and the fee should be $150 and that I would have to pay an extra $80. I said no it’s okay, I don’t want the insurance. She went on to say it was required to ship. I then said that I would like a refund on my purchase and I no longer wanted the jeans, the lady said $110 shipped not an extra $150. She got mad and said I was inconveniencing her and kept begging me to pay. I did not pay and I lost $180. 🙁

That’s a real bummer! It sucks not knowing if you’ll be able to trust the people you are buying from, I definitely would be careful when a deal that good comes along, it’s super tempting!

The way that you can’t trust anything out there these days is crazy!! People don’t even bat an eye to screw someone over. I’m sorry to hear that.
